John Odgren in 2007 committed a vicious murder of another student, whom he had never met, was Asperger's to blame?

John Odgren was 16 in 2007, he suffered from Asperger's syndrome and he did suffer some bullying and social isolation. Odgren's parents were fully involved in John's educational journey, they advocated for John and at times he appeared to be responding. But on January 19, 2007 John took a kitchen knife from home and into school. He waited in a bathroom and was apparently hoping another student would join him in the men's, no one arrived so John walked to another restroom, where he brutally stabbed fifteen year old James Alenson more than seven times, for no real reason. The duo never met and James NEVER bullied Odgren, however James died on the floor of the school. John Odgren attempted an insanity defense, it failed and John was sentenced to life in prison without parole. Tune in to find out why he is likely to be available for parole in 2023.
