I wasn’t sure about this podcast initially. However, Mr. Maguire’s unflinching detail and the genuine empathy for the victims made me a fan. I’m currently binging all the past episodes and really enjoying them. I’m not from Boston but I’m enjoying the accent nonetheless.

I was born in Dorchester and grew up and still live in Walpole. I cannot tell you how many times when I said I was from Walpole, I got “oh in the prison? Ha ha!” Morons.. 🤣

First, this born and bred Boston girl wants to say thank you for creating a podcast that features local Massachusetts cases, despite many of them having limited details that are in the public domain. So many of these cases never get covered on podcasts (I’ve even contacted a few that I love to see if they would cover cases like Deanna Cremins and Holly Piirainen, but to no avail.) As someone who grew up in Somerville (and now teaches there) Deanna Cremins case has haunted me for a long time. Thank you for doing it justice! I’m hoping you cover Janet Downing (another Somerville case form around the same time). And if you ever need a local Villen to mine for information about Somerville, I’m your girl 😉 Awesome awesome awesome podcast!

Love it. Accidental find, but so happy. As a recovering Masshole, I might be biased, but, in the words of furniture slinger Dean: “I doubt it.” Great stuff man. Great cadre of cases I’ve never heard covered! Keep em coming kid.

As a lifelong Boston resident, I love this podcast. I remember many of the cases Barry covers. He does a great job connecting with his listeners too! I emailed him a question and he responded immediately! If you haven’t listened! Make sure you do!

Great job, Barry. You are very thorough with your research and I find your knowledge about the subject matter of true crime in the Boston area to be excellent. I like that you bring your experience as a private investigator into the cases to shed more light on them. Keep up your good work. I appreciate this podcast.
