On Thursday January 18, 2024 defense Attorney Yanetti revealed that there had been a conference call, between the defense, the prosecutors and the Department of Justice. The focus of the call, was to inform the parties that the feds were going to provide information pertaining to the federal corruption investigation, apparently focusing on the police and prosecutors offices in the Karen Read case.
